Information
Universal Dimmer REG | 2-fold, RLC, 300 W | art.nr.: N 528D01
The universal dimmer provides a versatile solution for switching and dimming various load types. With two separately configurable outputs, it is suitable for resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads. The device automatically detects the connected load type and switches seamlessly between leading-edge and trailing-edge control. Fully configurable via ETS, the dimmer offers extensive functionality for flexible lighting control in residential and commercial applications.
Key Features
- 2 outputs for switching and dimming (2x300 VA or 1x500 VA at 35°C).
- Automatic load detection and adjustment to leading-edge or trailing-edge control.
- No minimum load required per output.
- Protection against short circuit, overload, and temperature rise.
- Support for dimmable LED lamps, halogen lamps, and incandescent lamps.
- Fully configurable via ETS, with advanced scene and time settings.
- Integrated bus coupling unit (KNX bus connection).
- Construction site function for switching lights before ETS configuration.

Additional Functions
- 8-bit scene control with assignment of each output to up to 8 scenes.
- Individually adjustable dimming times (brighter/darker) for each output.
- Optional warning before switching off by dimming to 50% during night mode.
- Counters for operating hours and switching cycles with threshold monitoring.
- Adjustable dimming values for power loss or recovery.
- Timer and night mode with adjustable ON and OFF delays.
Important Notes
In the event of a short circuit, the dimmer temporarily disables the load and attempts to restore it after 3 seconds. If the issue persists, the load remains disconnected. In case of overheating, the dimmer automatically shuts down and recovers when the temperature returns to normal. The construction site function allows lighting to be controlled before ETS configuration is complete.
Applications
The universal dimmer is ideal for residential and commercial installations, offering reliable and flexible lighting control. Its compatibility with a wide range of lamps makes it a versatile solution for modern KNX systems.
